Veriskope Boost™ – Extend Flash
Veriskope Boost Service Solutions for Adobe Flash can help rebuild your Flash or Flex application for use outside of a web browser.
The Veriskope Boost solution extends the use of your Flash applications because they will no longer be subject to browser plug-in restrictions, making it a great long-term solution. The solution can also easily be updated, enhanced, and managed by your organization. The experience is similar to desktop helper apps installed by Zoom or Webex. Once installed, the technology launches when double clicked on the desktop or self-launches when a specific application URL is visited via your browser.
How would my organization use Boost Service Solutions?
The development of your Boost solution, utilizing the Adobe AIR desktop application, will be completed in partnership with Veriskope. Veriskope develops and custom-configures the implementation for each customer. Veriskope then makes the technology available to you for testing and review. When testing is complete and you are ready, you create a new webpage (or update an existing webpage) with a link to the downloadable package.
How do end users access the Boost solution?
Users will be directed to a unique web page where they can download, install, and launch the Boost helper that’s been configured by Veriskope to work with your specific FLASH or FLEX application. You can also distribute the Boost package directly to end users via email or other standard communication methods. With the new helper package, users now access and use all features of your Flash or Flex application.
What type of applications is this good for?
Veriskope Boost Service Solutions are appropriate for use with any custom application developed in Flash or Flex, including both internal and external utilizations. Internal uses include financial reporting and charting, medical charts, real-time data analytics, and market analytics. External uses may include government forms, healthcare and insurance forms, interactive charting, video delivery, podcast delivery, and more.

As of January 2021, it will no longer be possible to *easily* run Flash in the new versions of most Web browsers.
The major browser vendors (Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, Apple) have announced they will stop supporting Flash Player as a plug-in after 12/31/2020.
